ZX Measurement Services Expands Rental Wind Lidar Fleet with New ZX 300e

ZX Measurement Services has further expanded its rental fleet of wind Lidars with the addition of another ZX 300e, the latest evolution of wind Lidar technology from ZX Lidars.

The addition of the ZX 300e further strengthens ZX Measurement Services’ ability to provide developers with fast and accurate wind data to support onshore wind project development. Building on the long-proven performance of the ZX 300, the ZX 300e introduces enhancements such as an ultra-low power draw of just 44 W, even down to –25 °C. This reduces the frequency of site visits and enables reliable operation across a wide range of climates and remote locations.

In 2025, the ZX 300e became the first ground-based Lidar to achieve IEC 61400-50-2 Classification across a full order of magnitude in height – from 21 m to 200 m – delivering the most comprehensive uncertainty profile ever achieved for a remote-sensing device. Beyond its IEC classification, the ZX 300e has been validated and performance-proven up to 300 m above ground level, offering very high data availability even at 300 m. ZX 300 and ZX 300e provide accurate and reliable wind data to support project development, operational monitoring, and power-performance testing.

ZX Power delivers reliable off-grid operation for remote Lidar deployments through hybrid solar, wind, and battery systems with intelligent energy management. Real-time communications allow proactive monitoring and maintenance, reducing downtime and ensuring continuous, safe operation wherever projects are located.

The ZX Data Portal offers a unified view of all wind-measurement data – from Lidars, Sodars, and met masts – with secure, real-time access. Designed for clarity and confidence, it ensures every data point is tracked, quality-checked, and available whenever clients need it.

With the addition of the ZX 300e, ZX Measurement Services’ rental fleet now includes an extensive range of wind-measurement devices, all available for short- and long-term rental and backed by expert technical and field support.
