Community-led wind energy developer EnVys has deployed a ZX 300 wind Lidar for a year-long wind measurement campaign in the municipality of Trstěnice u Litomyšle, Czech Republic.
EnVys operates under a community ownership model in partnership with municipalities. The company’s approach prioritises regional development and competitive energy pricing for the local communities. With two public consultations already held and a dedicated project website (trstenice.envys.cz) in place, EnVys has embedded transparency and dialogue into every stage of development.
The proposed wind farm is expected to feature three Vestas turbines (V163 4.5MW at 98m hub height and V162 6.2MW at 119m hub height). Following advice from Vestas, EnVys selected the ZX 300 wind Lidar for standalone use, to provide the required 300 days of high-quality wind data to support turbine siting.

Asked why EnVys selected ZX Lidars, Ludek Bukovsky commented:
“We want to use modern industry standards and therefore chose Lidar technology instead of a traditional mast, which requires a construction permit, which can take significant time and be costly. Following the successful deployment in the region, EnVys are delighted to confirm a second imminent deployment in the Czech Republic and plans for further Lidar rentals and deployments in the next 12 months to support their development pipeline.
