ZX Measurement Services is supporting Vattenfall across a portfolio of UK wind energy developments, delivering integrated measurement campaigns that combine customer-owned and rental ZX 300 wind Lidars, ZX Power and specialist field services to support both wind resource and noise assessment programmes.

Operating across projects in Scotland and England, the programme demonstrates the value of combining trusted wind Lidar technology, reliable autonomous power and experienced field support to deliver the data required for wind resource assessment, environmental studies and project development.
While wind Lidars are widely recognised for their role in wind resource assessment, they are increasingly being used to support a broader range of project development activities. By supporting both wind resource and noise assessment studies, ZX Measurement Services helps developers gather the data needed to inform project design, environmental studies and wind farm development planning.
Joanna Cadman-Goodwin, Head of Commercial & Customer Experience at ZX Measurement Services, said: “Every measurement campaign is different, which is why flexibility is so important. By combining customer-owned Lidars with our rental fleet, ZX Power and field services, we’re able to support a wide range of measurement requirements, from wind resource assessment through to noise assessment studies.
We’re pleased to be supporting Vattenfall across multiple UK developments, helping deliver the wind data required to support project design, environmental studies and wider development decisions, while ensuring campaigns can operate efficiently in remote locations.”
The programme highlights the growing role of integrated measurement solutions in modern wind energy development. As developers seek trusted data while minimising deployment time and operational challenges, combining proven wind Lidar technology with reliable power systems and experienced field support offers a practical and scalable approach to wind farm project development.
