The ZephIR Lidar team deliver world class, industry leading wind measurement systems and supporting services for on shore and off shore wind energy projects and turbine mounted applications.
In 2003 we released the first commercial wind lidar, ZephIR®, exploiting decades of research at UK government Research & Development establishment QinetiQ. Designed specifically for the wind industry ZephIR has paved the way for many of the remote sensing devices seen in the market today.
Our original lidar technology continues to innovate with world firsts such as taking measurements from a wind turbine spinner and being the first to deploy an off shore wind lidar, both fixed and floating. ZephIR has also now amassed more than 3 million hours of operation across 650+ deployments globally spanning a decade of commercial experience.
We are a dedicated and passionate group of professionals working in a beautiful location at the foot of the Malvern Hills.
As part of our continued expansion of lidar production facilities we are searching for an Assembly Technician to work within our Assembly Team delivering high-tech wind measurement systems to customers globally.
Reporting to our Assembly Team Leader, the role includes the inspection and assembly of items against detailed instructions. The ongoing highest possible quality of assembly and product is essential so feedback from the role on documentation and procedures is welcomed.
The Assembly Technician will rotate around the manufacturing lines within the organisation to encourage multi-skilling.
With new products and facilities being established this is an exciting time to join the organisation and be a part of its successful future.
You will be based in our newly renovated facility near Ledbury/Malvern. However remote working will be considered, with agreed travel between home and ZephIR’s premises expected. For a more accurate location, please use the post code HR8 1EU. Due to the remote location, public transport is not possible; as such a driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
